This course gives you an insight into the world of Dog Grooming and prepares you for “employment”  in a grooming salon. Your course will focus on “preparation”.  You will learn all basic grooming skills and how to use all the specialised equipment.

This course is inclusive of all features of the BRONZE course and much more. You will style a variety of the popular breeds which regularly visit a grooming salon. You will learn how to handle clippers, scissors and thinners to create style in your groom. You will learn how to assess, plan, style, finish, promote and maintain the health and well being of animals with customer care in mind.

This course features everything in the GOLD course and provides an extra 5 days tuition for those who feel they  would need this to be more confident. This course also includes Pet First Aid course which needs to done separately  this is normally the day after your exam.

Platinum OCN (LEVEL 3  OCN + PET FIRST AID)

Unlike the City & Guilds, you do not need to have done the Level 2  to sit this level 3 accredited course. This qualification is perfect for ambitious beginners who don't like written exams. OCN puts more emphisis on the art of grooming rather than the theory. OCN is regulated by ofsted and is a recognised qualification on par with C&G Level 3.

For students who wish to be more qualified and more knowledgable and achieve Level 3 in dog grooming without having to do level 2.  Includes some written and practical assessments, but no exams as such.
